How to Deposit on Polymarket: A Funding Checklist

Understand Polymarket deposits: choosing the network and token, verifying the destination, checking minimums and tracking confirmations.

A successful deposit depends on more than copying an address. The account, asset, network and minimum amount must all match the live instructions. Use this checklist to review a funding route and avoid interpreting a pending transfer as proof that funds have disappeared.

Use the destination in the deposit screen

Official deposit instructions start in the platform’s Deposit interface. Select the supported route and confirm the address displayed for that route. Do not assume your public profile address is the correct receiving address. Reopen the funding screen when changing networks or assets. Check the first and last characters after copying, and verify the selected network rather than relying on a familiar-looking address.

Review the complete cost

Your originating wallet, exchange or payment provider can add charges independently of the prediction market. Consider the amount that will actually arrive after those charges. Check the displayed minimum and any conversion information before sending. A transfer that is below the required threshold may not be credited immediately, so an arbitrarily tiny test is not always a valid test of the route.

Track the transfer with evidence

Record the asset, network, destination, amount and transaction identifier. These details let you distinguish a transaction waiting for confirmation from one sent on the wrong network. Use a suitable block explorer for the network you actually used. An exchange’s “completed” label and a credited trading balance describe different stages; compare the timestamps before drawing conclusions about a delay.

Troubleshoot without guessing

If a deposit does not appear, compare your record against the official instructions and the live status of the platform. Do not send a second large transfer simply to see whether the first one works. Use official support or documented recovery guidance when the address or network is wrong. Keep recovery information separate from login credentials, which should never be included in a public troubleshooting post.

Questions & answers

Can I reuse any address from an earlier deposit?

Check the current deposit screen for the selected asset and network every time.

Does a pending transfer always mean a failure?

No. Confirmations, minimum requirements and processing stages can affect when a transfer becomes visible.
